Large French serving dish with a decoration of salamander, the fetish and emblematic animal of the King of France François 1st (1494 - 1547). he was named the king builder.
The salamander can be found on the facades or in the decorations of many buildings and castles that he had built, such as the splendid Château de Chambord.
This Salins earthenware dish is splendid, it has a very royal design. It is in very good condition. Some traces of use but almost nothing. It's lovely!
