French ceramic planters Onnaing, Pair of large vintage planters, large pot cover 19th century

This pair of ceramic planters from Onnaing SG exceptional Louis XV style. They date from the 19th century, the manual signature underneath (see photo) fades but is present. They date from the 19th century because they do not have the classic signature of Onnaing in ceramics that was applied only from 1897. Our planters are therefore older.

These are collector's items for lovers of exceptional ceramics.

They are in perfect condition, no hair, no cracks, no breaches. Perfect! This is an extremely rare pair to find in this condition, especially for both pieces.

The very famous earthenware factory of Onnaing has a world reference in the manufacture of slip since 1827: two exceptional pieces!

Summary of the company's history:
In February 1821, a pottery was founded in Onnaing on the place called "L'Arsin" by two noble families, the de Bousies and de Secus

In 1827, Alexandre GIraud, from Onnaing, acquired the earthenware factory and directed it with Charles GIraud. The Mouzin family took over the factory in 1858 under the name of Société MOUZIN Frères.

In 1894, Mouzin Frères et Cie became the Société Anonyme de la Faïencerie d'Onnaing.

During the Great War 1914-1918, the earthenware factory was occupied by the Germans who systematically destroyed the equipment. Production resumed in 1921, to stop in 1938. The liquidation lasted until 1947.
