DetailsLarge biscuit bucket from the early 20th century in molded crystal. It is signed inside bar-ss, meaning that it was made by the crystal and glassworks of Bar-Sur-Seine.
The crystal is molded entirely with reliefs. It's exceptional!
The Société des Verreries et Cristalleries de Bar-sur-Seine built a glassworks whose construction was completed in 1881. The glass artist Maurice Marinot worked there, but the factory closed its doors in 1937, while a fire had caused its reconstruction the previous year.
The crystal is perfect: no cracks, no breaches, no blows.
It's a beautiful object!
